- WHEN DID THE GINGER OFFICIANT GET STARTED: As a Notary, I officiated my first ceremony in March 2013 at Gateway Park in Debary, FL and began professionally officiating weddings in March 2015 - with wedding coordination services beginning in September 2015.
- HOW MANY CEREMONIES HAVE YOU PERFORMED: I performed my 1,000th ceremony on August 12 2022!
- HOW MANY COORDINATIONS HAVE YOU EXECUTED: Although I no longer provide coordination services, I managed 96 wedding days as of November 2022!
- WHAT LICENSES DO YOU HOLD: Florida Notary Public Exp 07/2023 and County of Volusia Business License 201607140009
- ARE YOU INSURED: You betcha! My current business liability and errors & omissions insurance policy is valid through August 2023.
- DO YOU CHARGE ADDITIONAL TRAVEL FEES: Heck no. Travel time and mileage are included in every quote sent out.
- DO YOU OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT: Definitely! I do offer a 5% discount to clients with military id's. Please let me know at the time of booking. We thank you for your service!
- WHAT DO YOU WEAR TO THE CEREMONY: I always ask if you have a preferred color, and take requests on style, but normally I wear a dress. I do not wear a "stole" as you would see many Ministers or Pastors wear.
- WHAT IS A UNITY CEREMONY: Unity ceremonies don't have to be cheesy! The most common examples of unity ceremonies are the sand blending ceremony or unity candle lighting. But I have had couples mix guacamole, Build a custom light saber, plant a tree, and literally tie a knot. But my favorite is the "love letter beer/wine box" - the couples writes a love letter to each other then seals it in a box with a bottle of wine a two beers and on the happy occasion of their first wedding anniversary they open the box, drink the booze, and read the letters. But there are many unity ceremonies to choose from, as well as options to include your children in the unity ceremony - we can discuss all of this in detail during the consultation.
- ARE YOU LGBTQ FRIENDLY: Of course! I do not discriminate against any couple. Let's do this!!
- GRAPE JELLY OR STRAWBERRY JELLY: Strawberry
- WHICH HOGWARTS SORTING HOUSE ARE YOU IN? I'm a proud Hufflepuff!!
- LATE FEES: I always arrive early to the venue pre-ceremony to setup, meet with the bride, groom, DJ, etc. and I allow enough time in my schedule to stay at least 30 minutes after the ceremony start time. If the ceremony starts more than 30 minutes after the quoted start time, and I am able to accommodate this change, there is a late fee of $50.00 per half hour (plus the cost to Officiate). If the ceremony runs more than 30 minutes late and I am not able to stay to accommodate this change, the Officiating fee will be due in full. If this happens, we can discuss the possibility of meeting later that day/weekend to make it official.
